Base: Made od high strength 6061 aluminum alloy. The plate is 24"x12" by 3/8" thick with a hardened black anodized finish.
Arobor: The Scintillator "88" is designed to accomadate 8" laps. The arbor shaft is bearing quality stainless steel with a pressed on plate that rides on precision preloaded ball bearings to eliminate end play. The arbor has adjusting features for aligning the horizontal swing of the dop arm assembly. Arbor speed is 80 to 2000 rpm. Calibration scale on upright is readable in SAE and Metric. This is ideal for the faceter using the "meet point" faceting method.
